Last June, Figueira da Foz hosted two major sporting events: the 7th Edition of the Madjer Cup and the 14th Edition of the Figueira Beach Rugby International, both part of Figueira Beach Sports.

The Beach Summer Sports are an annual beach sports event held in Figueira da Foz, attracting athletes and spectators from around the world. The combination of competition, fun, and a stunning setting has been crucial for the constant growth in popularity, number of participants, and spectators over the past years.

Present since the first edition, Alves Bandeira returned as the Official Energy Sponsor, while Davanti, a tire brand exclusively distributed by AB Tyres, took on the role of Official Tire Partner. This reinforces both brands' commitment to promoting sports and supporting the organization of entertainment events, whether they are sports, cultural, or social in nature.

In addition to offering personalized merchandise to all athletes, both brands promoted a series of activations at a joint stand where spectators had the opportunity to participate and win exclusive prizes.

The Figueira Beach Rugby International stood out with the impressive participation of 950 athletes, distributed among 59 teams representing 11 nations. This event has become a true beach rugby festival, promoting not only the sport but also interculturality and camaraderie among participants.

Meanwhile, the Madjer Cup saw the presence of 220 athletes divided into 18 teams from 3 nations. This tournament, in homage to the fantastic beach soccer player Madjer, continues to grow in prestige and popularity, standing out for its competitiveness and sportsmanship.

Both events were a huge success, attracting several thousand spectators who, over the two weekends, filled Praia de Buarcos to support the athletes and enjoy a festive and sporting atmosphere.
