Following the launch of the Azenis RS820, the brand’s first super-ultra high-performance (SUHP) tire, Falken, a subsidiary of Sumitomo Group and exclusively represented in Portugal by AB Tyres, now sees this product chosen as the original equipment for the new Audi S3.

With all-wheel drive and the complementary introduction of the torque splitter, the new Audi compact sports car, offering 333 HP and 420 Nm of torque, required the installation of a high-quality, high-performance tire. This necessity motivated the German brand to opt for the fantastic Falken Azenis RS820.

This super-ultra high-performance (SUHP) tire offers high maneuverability, stability, and control in all driving conditions. Designed for high-performance vehicles such as sports cars and SUVs, it has a speed index of up to 300 km/h and is available in 38 sizes.

The design of the AZENIS RS820 includes an asymmetric tread pattern with four circumferential grooves and improved shoulder designs that increase road contact and lateral stability. Its circumferential tread ribs enhance lateral grip in corners and ensure straight-line stability. The wide and deep grooves facilitate water dispersion, thereby preventing aquaplaning.

The investment in cutting-edge technologies, combining highly effective compounds with an advanced construction method, ensures a dynamic and safer driving experience. Additionally, Falken’s advanced 4D NANO Design technology boosts the creation of compounds with lower wear rates, significantly increasing the tire’s lifespan.

Considering weight as a crucial factor in high-performance vehicles, this was one of the most important points in the construction process. The result is a lightweight, extremely robust, and safe tire that offers superior performance on various surfaces and road conditions, both wet and dry.

Currently, the AZENIS RS820 equips the Audi S3 Sportback and S3 Sedan models manufactured in Ingolstadt, Germany, with 235/35 R19 tires. It joins many other Falken tires that are mounted as Original Equipment (OEM) on major brands such as Porsche, Jeep, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Toyota, among others.
