It was on February 6, that the Coimbra City Council assigned a new work worth 1.4 Million euros to Civibérica - Obras Civis, S.A.

This project with a time frame of 390 days contemplates the creation of a two-way bike path, the plantation of trees throughout the length of the road, and the introduction of measures that intend to reduce traffic speeds at the Eiras road.

The intervention aims to increase the safety and accessibility of users and to convert this space to a more sustainable and green urban format. At a later stage,  the connection with the other network of bike paths in the city will be made, upon the urban integration of the Metrobus project.

The requalification and rehabilitation of urban areas are one of the specialties of Civibérica, which has several works of the same nature in its portfolio carried out in several Portuguese cities.
